NEW RELEASE - Freak Out by Ella Emerson

Title: FREAK OUT
Author: Ella Emerson
Release Date: August 20th

Synopsis:

As we fell in love with Freak in the prequel, Find out where Freak and Chelsea’s story takes them in this complete standalone novel.

Have you ever met someone who turned everything you knew inside out? That’s what it was like when Freak Phillips and I really met for the first time.

This roller coaster ride he had me on was making me question myself. Making me do things I had never dreamed of. So out of character, so unlike me.

Better yet, I was liking it.

But, little did I know what he had in store for me was unlike anything I could have ever imagined.

Freak wasn’t exactly what I had envisioned. Furthermore, could I picture myself with him in a relationship?

Wild, exciting, and completely deranged come and fall in love with the mystery that is Freak Phillips.

About The Author:

Ella Emerson lives in Florida with her husband and three wonderful children. When she isn't writing you can find her watching movies or playing games with her children. She loves to read, write and eat pizza. A true lover of the beach, she enjoys the sun, surf, sand and sea. She also is a huge fan of the cinema and enjoys crazy 80's chick flicks. She was raised a military brat, and has seen her fair share of the world. She loves using her own experiences and turning them into lovely romantic tales.
In high school she discovered her love for reading, and even had one of her poems published in a national magazine. She continues to read, write, review and hopefully she can become an inspiration to her own children, as well as others.

WYLABWYW: Author Bio

Karina Kantas writes novels, short stories and sometimes poetry. And when her imagination is working over time, she writes thought provoking/dark flash fiction.

Karina writes in the genres of fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and thrillers, just to name a few. With an international fan base, she's only too happy to chat to her fans on Facebook and Twitter.

Her inspirations are the author S.E.Hinton and the rock band Iron Maiden.

Titles by Karina Kantas

In Times of Violence YA urban thriller/romance
Heads and Tales collection of flash and short fiction
Lawless Justice MC vigilante urban thriller
Huntress MC urban thriller
Stone Cold YA supernatural thriller
Road Rage MC urban thriller
UNDRESSED Collection of short fiction, poetry and prose.

WYLABWYW: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Something we won’t find in you author bio on your website (do you work, hobbies, what do you like to do when not writing/working, etc.)

I used to sing lead in a rock band. I still enjoy singing. Up until around three years ago I used to collect frogs. I had everything from jewelry, to underwear, keyrings to crystals. The more unusual the better.

WYLABWYW: Are you self-published, with an agency, or a combination of the two?

I started as a self publisher as agents just wouldn't take a chance on a unknown genre. I then went with a vanity publisher who ripped me off and I"m still being burnt. You think I had learned my lesson but I made yet another mistake and ended up paying a lot of money for no reason. Finally I signed a contract with a publisher but when the year was up I decided not to stay with them and became independent again.

WYLABWYW: What inspired you to become a writer?

I was always making up stories when I was younger. It wasn't until I started reading S.E.Hinton's novellas that I knew I wanted to write my own version of The Outsiders and add my experiences to it. So In Times of Violence started as an eighteen page short story. When I was 17 I picked it up again, started working on it and one page turned into fifteen. Soon I had my first book.

WYLABWYW: Do you have a mentor or mentors?

No. I've done all this alone. And it really is a lonely craft.

WYLABWYW: What do you do to prepare for a story?

Most of my storylines come from dreams, sometime nightmares. When I get into the "Zone" I can spend a day or days spent sleeping and writing. Everything else comes second. I have to get the ideas and scenes out of my head before I can function normally again. It's the opposite of writers block. I carry a note book, pen and a Dictaphone with me and as soon as anything pops in my head it gets taking out.

WYLABWYW: What do you find to be your biggest obstacle in the writing process?

Finding peace and quiet and also the time to write.

WYLABWYW: Where do you do your writing?
I used to sit outside a small cafe in the village and watch the people pass. It was the perfect setting for me to come to write.

WYLABWYW: Do you listen to music when you write? If so, what do you typically listen to?

Always. Whether I'm writing, making edits, or reading through a MS, I always listen to rock music. It doesn't matter what genre I'm writing in, it's always rock music. It's the genre of music that I have enjoyed all my life.

WYLABWYW: How much of your book(s), if any, is taken from real life events?

Nearly all. Two of them are very biographical. And there is always a piece of me in my books. I've. had a lot of closure from writing.

WYLABWYW: Who is/was your biggest support for your writing career?

My best friend is my biggest fan and supports me in all I do. We support each other.

WYLABWYW: What lead to write your chosen genre?

Having bikers around me while I was growing up, loving rock music and then singing in a band. MC thrillers seemed the obvious choice. Authors should always start by writting about what they know, and then there is the research that needs to be done.

WYLABWYW: Tell us about your book(s).

In Times of Violence is a YA thriller about a teenager who leaves her alcholic mother and heads to the city to spend he summer with her aunt. The moment she see the Tyrants she knows that is the family that she has been looking for. But Jade has no idea what she is getting in to. It's a novel about choices, love and
respect.

Heads & Tales is a collection of 28 flash and short fiction 18 of which have already been published. The collection has stories dark and light from all genres of fiction. The collection also has a horror story called Crossed which won first prize in a international short story contest.

Huntress is the sequel to In Times of Violence but is also a stand alone book. This is not a YA books it goes deep inside an outlaw motorcycle club. It's an emotional and bumpy roller coaster ride.

Stone Cold is YA supernatural thriller. This book goes through many of the traumatic times that too many teenagers go though, from bullying, to suicide, cutting and server depression. But it's not all negative. The book is chilling, emotional and also a lot of fun.

Lawless Justice. After writing two novels about male bikers, I wanted to do a book where the ladies take the leading role. This group of women had been in my head for a long time. It was the quickest, yet largest book I have written. And still remains a fan favourite.

I wrote Undressed for my fans while they were waiting for another novel. I really open myself up in this collection There is poetry, prose, excerpts and even a little sneek of the WIP. This book is free to anyone who has read Heads &Tales, enjoys my writing style and understands my warped imagination.

Road Rage is a MC thriller. Again going deep inside an outlaw motorcycle club and is violent and sexsualy explicit. Again it's about a woman with a abusive past who is still trying to feel as though she belongs some where.

WYLABWYW: Do you have muses you used for your characters?

Maybe they had some attributes from male film stars but no one in particular. I've never seen a picture of a model an thought wow you could Marcus. I know what these characters look and sound like and I hope that comes across in my books.

WYLABWYW: Time to give your support a shout out! Tell us about your crew (cover designer, photographer, editor, videographer, proofreader, swag designer, etc.)

I've never had a street team. I do all my own promoting, apart from when other authors give me a hand. We try to help each other as we know how tough this business is.

My covers have been designed by artist from around the world who have luckily become my good friends. Shout out to Stephen Bl, Melinda, Stephen Ba, Scott T. To my secret readers and my editors.

WYLABWYW: What are you working on now, and when can we expect your next release?

I'm finishing the final edit of book one of a fantasy series called Illusional Reality. The MS will then go to my secret readers and then I will work on changes and hopefully the book will be ready for release in the new year.

WYLABWYW: Do you have any upcoming signing events or appearances scheduled later this year or in 2016?

I live in a small village on an island in Greece, no libraries and no bookshops. So no where to do a signing or special appearance.

WYLABWYW: Which new authors have caught your attention?

My TBR pile is getting big. I love Paranormal romances and have a few that were given to me direct from the authors. I can't wait to read them. I'm just so busy lately.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us all.

Allyn Lesley - Interview

Author Name: allyn lesley
Fiction or Non-Fiction: fiction
Genre(s): romantic suspense/contemporary romance
Number of books published: one full length (romantic suspense) and one short (new adult) in a box set
Links to published work (Amazon, Smashwords, etc):
US (romantic suspense & new adult) - http://amzn.to/1JNz5QU
UK (romantic suspense) - http://amzn.to/1ThTTmq
US (box set) - http://amzn.to/1HGUJ7r

WYLABWYW: Author Bio

allyn lesley writes real stories about real people.

As a teen, allyn lost herself in the pages of some of Romance's heavyweights, trusting that a happy ever after was just around the corner. In allyn's own writing journey, as in life, she's learned that people don't always experience recovery and restoration after a fall. Her stories speak to the gritty side of life where the right choice isn't always easily identified and happiness not quickly gained.

WYLABWYW: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Something we won’t find in you author bio on your website (do you work, hobbies, what do you like to do when not writing/working, etc.).

I’m quirky, lover of hot, Alpha males, as well as a meme stealer and a Cheetos eater. When I’m not writing, I’m with my hubby and two daughters or turning assignments toward my Masters program.

WYLABWYW:  Are you self-published, with an agency, or a combination of the two?

I’m self-published at the moment.

WYLABWYW: What inspired you to become a writer?

Life inspired me. One of my favorite songs is Stacy Barthe’s Falwed Beautiful Creatures (you can listen here à https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ5UqwEmoXU) and the lyrics are the kinds of characters I attempt to portray in my novels.

WYLABWYW: Do you have a mentor or mentors?

I have no mentor, per say, but there are writers/story tellers whom I admire because of their versatility to weave tales that’s enjoyable. A few are Jessa Kaye, LC Morgan, and Daphne Watson.

WYLABWYW:  What do you do to prepare for a story?

Nothing really. I just need access to WiFi and a writing instrument, preferably Gdocs or Word J.

WYLABWYW: What do you find to be your biggest obstacle in the writing process?

Procrastination and social media.

WYLABWYW:  Where do you do your writing?

We’ve recently moved, and my hubby set up an office that I never use. I still write in the living room on my couch.

WYLABWYW: Do you listen to music when you write? If so, what do you typically listen to?

I don’t typically listen to music. I have a young daughter so normally whatever she’s listening plays in the background.

WYLABWYW: How much of your book(s), if any, is taken from real life events?

I think bits and pieces will always be reflected in any writing I published. How much, and what they are...well, those will remain a mystery J

WYLABWYW:   Who is/was your biggest support for your writing career?

My family.

WYLABWYW:  Tell us about your book(s).

My debut is a romantic suspense about a small-town girl who moves to New York City and meets a group of tightly knit friends. They’re not what they seem, but then again neither is this small-town heroine. My debut is called Deeper (Book One of The Deeper Chronicles) and can be read on Kindle Unlimited for free or for purchase for $2.99.

My short is called Liar, and it’s part of the anthology, Once: A Night of Sinfully Sexy and Twisted Tales. Liar is a new adult set in New York City where the three main characters have all lied to each other in the name of love. This box set also features seven other novelists and their stories about first time lovers, second chance loves, and friends who have one night of explosive connections. Once can be read on Kindle Unlimited for free or for purchase for $0.99.

WYLABWYW:  Do you have muses you used for your characters?

Yes, I do. Follow me on pinterest à https://www.pinterest.com/allynlesley/

WYLABWYW: Time to give your support a shout out! Tell us about your crew (cover designer, photographer, editor, videographer, proofreader, swag designer, etc.)

Yay. My husband does all my graphic designing from teasers, covers, logos, to trailers. My developmental editor is THE best, and her name is Daphne Watson. Her company is called My Passion’s Pen (http://mypassionspen.com/). For line editing I used Hot Tree Editing (http://www.hottreeediting.com/), and was assigned to the fabulous Kayla Robichaux.

WYLABWYW: What are you working on now, and when can we expect your next release?

I’m currently working on a soon-to-be released secret novel. I’m shooting for a September release. All I can say is it’s an angsty new adult romance novel. After that one, I’m doing another secret project that’ll be around a novelette length, and have touch on aspects of family betrayal, mistaken identities, and some criminal elements. There’s no set release date for this mature adult romantic suspense novel. Finally, in queue is the sequel to my debut, Deeper Still (Book Two of The Deeper Chronicles). Again, no release date in mind as yet.

WYLABWYW: Can you share an excerpt from a work in progress?

Sorry, I cannot J.

WYLABWYW:  Do you have any upcoming signing events or appearances scheduled later this year or in 2016?

I do, but I prefer to share those details once everything is in place.

WYLABWYW: Which new authors have caught your attention?

Unfortunately, my reading time has dwindled since I began writing. I’ve been reading, when I can, novels I’ve owned since forever that’s on my Kindle.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us all.

Kristina Canady - Interview

Author Name: Kristina Canady
Fiction or Non-Fiction: Fiction
Genre(s): Paranormal and Contemporary Erotica
Number of books published: 4
Links to published work (Amazon, Smashwords, etc):
  • Web Page www.kristinacanady.com
  • Amazon, Nook and Kobo

WYLABWYW: Author Bio

Raised in California, Kristina moved to Colorado to pursue her education and fell in love with the area as well as her now husband. After pushing through college class by class with a few maternity breaks in between, she finally graduated with the support of her husband, family and friends. Her four year degree took a lot longer for her to complete as life led her down a scenic route.

After establishing her career in nursing, she felt something was missing. Her artistic side was calling so she started to pick up her writing and painting again. After a while, she found that her short story had grown into her first novel. Writing is a passion of hers and she feels the greatest achievement in her art is creating works that bring enjoyment to others.

She continues to reside in Colorado with her husband and children. Kristina is working on the next installment of The Lunar Eclipse Series as well as the next in the Affliction of Falling Series.

WYLABWYW: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Something we won’t find in you author bio on your website (do you work, hobbies, what do you like to do when not writing/working, etc.).

I cuss like a sailor and have a very sarcastic/ inappropriate sense of humor. I love to cook, and work out when I can and look for fun ways to shake it up like kickboxing and dance classes when I am not working or chasing kids. I am also addicted to pintrest/ DIY projects, pinups, red lipstick, shoes and love the outdoors. #treehuggerwithstyle

WYLABWYW:  Are you self-published, with an agency, or a combination of the two?

Self published

WYLABWYW: What inspired you to become a writer?

My love of the written word. Writing is like putting together a puzzle, hoping the end result will captivate.

WYLABWYW: Do you have a mentor or mentors?

My fellow authors/ peers are amazing and have taught me so much. My readers also teach me. I love constructive criticism, it helps me grow.

WYLABWYW:  What do you do to prepare for a story?

Dirty dreams, day dreams, write lots and lots of scribbled notes. Then I story board and organize my thoughts.

WYLABWYW: What do you find to be your biggest obstacle in the writing process?

Time to actually write is number one. Number two is being awake enough to organize my thoughts into coherent ones for the pen to put to page.

WYLABWYW:  Where do you do your writing?

I LOVE to frequent coffee shops like a stereo typical writer. But honestly, I write everywhere. My laptop goes with me and if I don’t have that, I have my notebook.

WYLABWYW: Do you listen to music when you write? If so, what do you typically listen to?

Yes, a lot. I love all types of music and will tune my Pandora into a station that fits the mood of what I am writing. If I am writing sexy stuff, I flove my Maxwell station for that J

WYLABWYW: How much of your book(s), if any, is taken from real life events?

I take many aspects of real life and explore them in my writing. Some of the funny antics actually happened in real life or sometimes I will use opposites when building characters. If someone initially inspired a character, I may use real life aspects of that person or the opposite of their character. Honestly though, inspirations from real life are loosely based as the characters and events really do take on a life of their own.

WYLABWYW:   Who is/was your biggest support for your writing career?

My family and friends

WYLABWYW:  What lead to write your chosen genre?

I write about what I am most passionate about. Vampires and sex… yes!

WYLABWYW:  Tell us about your book(s).

Lunar Eclipse Series is my vampire series. I pose the main question in book 1, “What would happen if you were married to your high school sweetheart, living your life, only to find out that you weren’t who you thought you were and your soul mate is someone else.” The series follows our lovers journey and begins to evolve into its own tale. They are not standalone books and need to be read in order.

In my Affliction of Falling series, which is Contemporary Erotica, we meet a group of friends who are finding themselves and finding love as well. Self-discovery proves to be the best vehicle for understanding matters of the heart. Book 1, Scrupulous, releases Aug. 1 and is a standalone. We meet Gavin and Sorcha, two promiscuous individuals with different kinky backgrounds who discover one another during a night of passion and learn quickly the art of compromise as well as give and take in order to foster their budding love.

WYLABWYW:  Do you have muses you used for your characters?

Sometimes, sometimes they are just ideals made reality.

WYLABWYW: Time to give your support a shout out! Tell us about your crew (cover designer, photographer, editor, videographer, proofreader, swag designer, etc.)

Where to start?! My fellow author friends who guide/ help me, my PA’s Susan, Becca and Angel… Becca, Angel and Stracey are also the Sassy Queens of Design responsible for my amazing media, covers and swag. Eric Battershell photography for turning me out on male models for covers ie Scrupulous, lol. My new editor Cynthia Shepp. And all of the amazing betas!

WYLABWYW: What are you working on now, and when can we expect your next release?

WYLABWYW:  Do you have any upcoming signing events or appearances scheduled later this year or in 2016?

Gawd there are so many I am lucky enough to call friend who have! I don’t know where to start!

***This novel is intended for adults(18+) for mature and explicit sexual content. It is a standalone and the series does not have to be read in order.***

Sorcha Some men just can’t accept that a woman can be perfectly content without them. I mean, come on—a girl can get laid whenever she wants. It’s not like it’s hard. And Lord knows, I have no interest in a relationship. There is no room for that drama-filled nonsense in my life. Pursuing my passion is all I have time for. Selfish and shortsighted? Perhaps. However, I know what I want and I have no problem going after it. Life is a string of decisions, constructed and manifested by each person. I own mine, and I don’t apologize for it either. Gavin My past always seems to define me. I hadn’t ever considered love as an option for someone with the background and proclivities that I have. Not until I spot a sexy little brunette across the crowded room. It’s magnetic, and as much as she tries to resist, I am going to have her. Even though she won’t submit, her sass does something to me—changes me. Come hell or high water, she will be mine.
